Auditorium Theatre 2021-2022, Issue 5, Giordano

Dear Friends, For more than 130 years, the Auditorium Theatre has been bringing artists and audiences together to celebrate the transformative power of the performing arts. Thank you for joining us and being part of that legacy. As we wrap up our 2021–22 season, we reflect on all the accomplishments the Auditorium Theatre has achieved over the past year. After nearly 600 days of being closed for public performances, we were finally able to open the doors to the Auditorium Theatre this past fall for a full season. It has been so rewarding to welcome back audiences and experience live performances together at our beautiful historic theatre again. Our season showcased local and international dance companies, Grammy award-winning musicians, and famed comedians. We are invigorated by your support these past months and excited about what is in store! This evening we close our 2021–22 season with the final Made in Chicago Dance Series performance featuring the incomparable Giordano Dance Chicago. Audiences can expect a sizzling mixed repertory program of six works showcasing the company’s continual expansion of jazz and contemporary dance. This engagement also marks the end of GDC’s 59th season. They are one of Chicago’s longest-existing dance companies! We look forward to their year of celebration that will culminate at the Auditorium again next year. Join us in creating even more special memories next season. Our historic landmark stage is the home to live music, theater, spoken word, and some of the leading voices of our time in all disciplines. We serve as the home for countless moments of celebration and community. Next year is no different— we will be back with more programming to showcase the best in the business. Whether you are visiting the Auditorium for the first time, or have been here too many times to count, we can’t do what we do without your support. As we bring artists and audiences together for the unique experience of seeing performing arts live on stage, we thank you for being part of our Auditorium community. ENJOY THE PERFORMANCE!
