fpdcc.com Summer is a great time to get out to the Forest Preserves of Cook County. School’s out, the days are long, and the preserves are alive with native plants, birds and other wildlife. This guide lists the events led by our staff at all six of our nature centers and in preserves around the county. It also has information on hiking, boat rentals, camping, disc golf, ziplining and many, many other activities for you to explore. Everybody is welcome in the Forest Preserves. Whether you’re a regular visitor or have never been, there’s no better time of year to create your own adventure in the Forest Preserves.
