fpdcc.com As the sun peaks out from behind the clouds, the Forest Preserves is calling for everyone to FoPe out this suPPer ,t·s the season of FaPpÀre stories, picnic spreads and that unbeatable feeling of grass between your toes. There are plenty of ways to escape the heat this summer. You can go for a swim at one of our three aquatic centers, step inside one of our six nature centers to learn more about habitats and wildlife, or Á\ through the air at the Go Ape =ipline and Adventure Park. While swimming isn’t permitted in )orest Preserves· lakes or ponds, \ou Fan still Àsh, paddle, or take a boat out for some relaxation. Summer is also a time to celebrate different cultures. Join us for Juneteenth to learn about the contributions made by Black naturalists, how Forest Preserves land played a role in the Underground Railroad and watch performances and presentations highlighting Black history and art.
