Join author and design historian Emily
Evans Eerdmans as she discusses the
inimitable style of Madeleine Castaing – one the
great original French talents of decoration of the
20th Century. Leopard carpeting, opaline blue, black
lacquer, and an eclectic mix of neoclassical furnishings
ranging from English Regency to Napoleon III have all formed
part of the vocabulary of “le style Castaing.” Eerdmans will explore
elements of Castaing’s style and chronicle her legendary life and
career.
Book signing will follow at Potterton Books, Booth 8118.
3pm | A Legacy inTramp Art, Booth 7121
Join dealer Clifford A. Wallach for an exploration of
tramp art, a frequently misunderstood art form which
flourished between 1870 and 1940. Wallach will also
sign his book, “A Legacy in Tramp Art”.
