EINAV YARDEN, piano Israeli pianist Einav Yarden worked closely with Leon Fleisher at the Peabody Conservatory, earning a Performance Diploma and a Master of Music with high honors, and Emanuel Krasovsky at Tel Aviv University, also earning high honors with her Bachelor of Music. Having also been mentored by Elisso Virsaladze, Richard Goode, and Zvi Meniker, she won third prize in the International Beethoven Competition in Bonn as well as prizes in the Minnesota Interna- tional Piano-e-Competition, Esther Honens In- ternational Competition, and Aviv Compe- titions. Yarden has been featured as a soloist with Israel Philharmonic, Minnesota Orchestra, Ber- lin Radio Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven Or- chester Bonn, Bucharest Philharmonic, Calgary Philharmonic, and Jerusalem Symphony, among other ensembles, alongside such conductors as Neville Marriner, Aldo Ceccato, Leon Botstein, and Mendi Rodan. As part of the Lucerne Festival, she was invited by András Schi to par- ticipate in a workshop on Beethoven’s ve pia- no concertos. Yarden has also been featured in recital at such festivals as La Roque d’Anthéron, Young-Euro Classic Festival, Ruhr Festival, and Menton Festival, as well as in Berlin’s Philhar- monie and Konzerthaus, Paris’s Salle Cortot and Musée d’Orsay, Düsseldorf’s Schumannsaal, Lincoln Center, and the Phillips Collection in Washington, DC, among other venues. In , she joined the adjunct faculty of the Freiburg University of Music as a chamber music teach- er. In her own chamber performances, Yarden regularly collaborates with other musicians and enthusiastically incorporates non-standard repertoire into her programs. In early she released her third CD on Challenge Records, a collection of solo piano works by Schumann, fol- lowing up on her disc of Haydn sonatas that won the German Records Critics’ Prize. Her rst CD on the label, Oscillations , combined works by Beethoven and Stravinsky.
