Together, we are partnering to advance economic opportunity in Chicagoland and across the country. Each year, our employees and our companies donate millions of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours to charitable organizations nationwide. We believe giving back makes our companies and our communities stronger. Locally, we support numerous nonprofit organizations, including Ravinia. For several years, we’ve supported Ravinia’s Reach Teach Play programs, which provide students in Chicago and Lake County public schools with unique music programs and training for teachers. Nationally, we bring financial education into middle and high schools across the country through our Pathway to Financial Success in Schools program. In partnership with Discovery Education, we have reached more than 7 million students by providing educators, students, and their families with a free curriculum and the tools they need to make informed financial decisions. We are excited to be part of this year’s summer concert season and salute all of you for supporting Ravinia! KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD Australian experimental outfit King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have built a well-earned reputation as one of the most prolific, adventur- ous, and inventive bands of all time. Since 2010, the band has released 26 studio albums—13 of which have charted in the top 20 in Austra- lia—that range from expansive jazz-rock, to spaghetti Western soundscapes, semi-acoustic cosmic ballads, sci-fi prog, kaleidoscopic garage rock, thrash metal, explorations of microtonal tunings, kraut-rock and more. King Gizzard’s prolific nature has led them to release music at a frenetic pace, and their intense desire to seek out new sounds and follow new creative paths means that every one of their multitude of re- leases sounds different from the last. Often re- leasing albums in swift progression of one an- other—notably, the band released five in 2017 and again in 2022, three of those in the month of October 2022 alone—King Gizzard has tak- en the traditional rules of the industry of music making and thrown them out the window. Their intense stage shows and the puzzle-like intrica- cies of their records have attracted a global fan- base that shares endless memes, mixes, videos, graphics, theories, and discussions, all through which they explore and expand “The Gizzverse.” Meanwhile King Gizzard’s “Bootlegger” pro- gram, which sees the band make their music available to independent record labels for free, results in hundreds of variations of certain re- leases, across vinyl, cassette, and CD. The band’s studio album discography includes 2 Bar Bru ise (2012); Eyes Like the Sky and Float Along – Fill Your Lungs (2013); Oddments and I’m In Your Mind Fuzz (2014); Quarters! and Paper Mache Dream Balloon (2015); Nonagon Infinity (2016); Flying Microtonal Banana , Murder of the Uni- verse , Sketches of Brunswick East , Polygondwa- naland , and Gumboot Soup (2017); Fishing for Fishies and Infest The Rats’ Nest (2019); K.G. (2020); L.W. and Butterfly 3000 (2021); Made in Timeland , Omnium Gatherum , Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava , Laminat- ed Denim , and Changes (2022); PetroDragonic Apocalypse and The Silver Cord (2023), Flight b741 (2024), and now Phantom Island . King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are making their Ravinia debut. RAVINIAMAGAZINE • AUG. 4 – AUG. 17, 2025 62 MACLAYHERIOT
