PAVILION 8:00 PM THURSDAY, AUGUST 21, 2025 LENNY KRAVITZ LENNY KRAVITZ A New York native raised in Los Angeles, Lenny Kravitz grew up steeped in ’60s and ’70s soul, rock, and funk, and the back- to-basics approach to song- writing that those eras of music instilled—all during the height of glam rock in the late ’80s— brought about his debut on Vir- gin Records, Let Love Rule , in 1989. Kravitz entered Billboard ’s top 40 with his 1991 follow-up Mama Said , while 1993’s Are You Gonna Go My Way broke into the top 20, also topping charts around the world on the strength of the number-one-hit title track. Starting with his next number-one—“Fly Away,” off his 1998 al- bum, 5 —Kravitz began a four-year run as the winner of the Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance, a record that still stands today, also winning for his rendition of “American Woman” (from the soundtrack to Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me ), “Again” (off his 2000 greatest hits album), “Dig In” (off 2001’s Lenny ). Between Lenny and 2014’s Strut , his 10th studio album, Kravitz not only toured and released Baptism (2004), It Is Time for a Love Revolution (2008), and Black and White America (2011), he grew frommaking cameo film and TV appearances to acting supporting roles in Precious (2009), The Butler (2013), and the first two films of the Hunger Games series (as Cinna). He has also developed several extra-musi- cal creative and business ventures over the past 20 years, including Kravitz Design—which has partnered with brands like Dom Perignon, CB2, Rolex, and Leica—and the spirits brand Nocheluna Sotol. After authoring Flash in 2015 to showcase his photography, Kravitz published the memoir Let Love Rule in 2020, hitting the New York Times bestsellers list. The Council of Fashion Designers of America named him a Fashion Icon in 2022, and last year he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was named a Music Icon at the People’s Choice Awards. Kravitz’s anthemic end-credits track for the 2023 Netflix film Rustin , “Road to Freedom,” earned himGold- en Globe, Critics’ Choice, and Guild of Music Supervisors Award nom- inations for Best Original Song. Following up on 2018’s Raise Vibration , Kravitz released his 12th album, Blue Electric Light , in May 2024. Tonight Lenny Kravitz makes his third appearance at Ravinia following shows in 2015 and 2019. PAVILION 7:30 PM FRIDAY, AUGUST 22, 2025 DREAMSICLE TOUR MAREN MORRIS † with special guest MIYA FOLICK † Miya Folick –Intermission– Maren Morris † Ravinia debut MAREN MORRIS Maren Morris has broken boundaries, smashed records, and affirmed herself as a dy- namic vocalist, prolific song- writer, and showstopping performer on her own terms. Among numerous accolades, Morris has garnered a Gram- my Award (Best Country Solo Performance for “My Church,” 2017, among another 16 nomi- nations), five ACM Awards, five CMA Awards, and three Bill- board Music Awards. She has earned dozens of multiplatinum and gold record certifications worldwide and tallied billions of streams. Her catalog encompasses a trio of acclaimed country albums— Hero (2016), Girl (2019), and Humble Quest (2022)—that followed a trio of indie releases between 2005 and 2011. Speaking to her versatility, Morris is the rare force of nature equally suited to collaborating with EDM producer Zedd on the six-times-platinum “The Middle” or duetting on tracks with the likes of Taylor Swift (“You All Over Me”), Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks (“Prove You Wrong”), Teddy Swims (“Some Things I’ll Never Know”), Hozier (“The Bones”), and Jessie Murph (“Texas”). Beyond standout late- night television performances, she notably served as guest host for two episodes of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2021, but she’s naturally been seen most widely as part of several sold-out tours on multiple continents—both as a headliner and supporting artists like Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, and Maroon 5. Along the way, she also co-founded The Highwomen with Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, and Amanda Shires, releasing a major hit album in 2019. In September 2023, Morris shared The Bridge , an EP featur- ing “The Tree” and “Get the Hell Out of Here,” and followed with a cover of Billy Idol’s classic track “Dancing With Myself ” in February 2024. She entered a bold new era with the release of her Intermission EP in August 2024, featuring “Cut!” (ft. Julia Michaels) and the MUNA-produced and playful single “Push Me Over.” Morris, who described Intermission as her “heart journey and gamut of emotions packaged into five songs,” is always unapologetically herself—and it showed in this music and in what came next: the full-length studio album Dreamsicle , released in May with another nine tracks, her first project fully under the umbrella of pop. Maren Morris is making her Ravinia debut. RAVINIAMAGAZINE • AUG. 18 – AUG. 31, 2025 70 MARKSELIGER(KRAVITZ);KIRTBARNETT(MORRIS)
