GRAHAMNASH Graham Nash, as a founding member of both the Hollies and Crosby, Stills & Nash, is a two- time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee who has seen rock history unfold from the launch of the British Invasion to the birth of the Lau- rel Canyon movement a year later and beyond. A Grammy Award-winning renaissance artist, Nash has been twice inducted into the Song- writers Hall of Fame—for his work with CSN and his work as a solo artist. Nash’s remarkable body of work began with his contributions to the Hollies’ catalogue from to , in- cluding “On a Carousel” and “Carrie Anne,” and continues all the way to Now ( ), his most recent solo album. A er leaving the Hol- lies at the end of , Nash relocated to the US, and in less than a year, he and new musical partners Stephen Stills, David Crosby, and Neil Young le a permanent imprint on contempo- rary music history with the rst Crosby, Stills & Nash LP ( ) and CSNY’s Déjà Vu ( ). e supergroup’s eponymous album featured Nash’s “Marrakesh Express,” “Pre-Road Downs,” and “Lady of the Island,” and the follow-up includ- ed his iconic “Teach Your Children” and “Our House.” His contribution to CSN’s oeuvre was further solidi ed with a pair of top- hits, “Just a Song Before I Go” ( ) and “Wasted on the Way” ( ). Nash’s solo career took ight in with Songs for Beginners which included “Chicago/We Can Change the World” and “Mil- itary Madness.” Wild Tales ( ) expanded on his exploration of topical themes with “Prison Song” and “Oh! Camil.” Nash and Crosby had launched a new creative partnership with their eponymous album, which featured Nash’s “Southbound Train” and “Immigration Man,” then followed up with Wind on the Water ( ) and Whistling Down the Wind ( ). Nash continues to be heard in support of peace and social-environmental justice—the No Nukes/ Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE) con- certs he organized with Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt in remain seminal bene t events. In recognition of his work as a musician and philanthropist, Nash was appointed an Of- cer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in .
