DANIEL LOZAKOVICH Daniel Lozakovich has become one of today’s most sought-a er violinists. His – season included tours of Korea with Klaus Mäkelä and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Eu- rope with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, as well as concerts with the Rotterdam, Royal Liverpool, and Helsinki Philharmonics, Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, Gulbenkian Orchestra, and Orquesta de Castilla y León. Lozakovich also reunited with Nathalie Stutz- mann and the Atlanta Symphony and began a residency with São Paulo Symphony Orches- tra. In March, he premiered Pascal Dusapin’s Second Violin Concerto as its dedicatee. Loza- kovich regularly performs with such leading ensembles as the Chicago, Pittsburgh, Boston, and San Francisco Symphonies, Cleveland and Philadelphia Orchestras, the BBC Symphony at the Proms, London’s Philharmonia Orchestra, the Budapest and Lucerne Festival Orchestras, Orchestres de Paris and de la Suisse Roman- de, the NHK, Singapore, and Sydney Sympho- nies, and Hong Kong, La Scala, London, Oslo, Royal Stockholm, and Seoul Philharmonics. As a chamber musician, he has collaborated with such artists as Mäkelä, Yuja Wang, Eman- uel Ax, Ivry Gitlis, Alexander Kantorow, Sergei Babayan, Martin Fröst, Renaud and Gautier Capuçon, Mischa Maisky, Behzod Abduraimov, and David Fray. Lozakovich became a Deutsche Grammophon artist at age —his Tchaikovsky album None but the Lonely Heart was named a Top Choice by Gramophone for his interpre- tation of the composer’s Violin Concerto, and his recording of Beethoven’s Violin Con- certo was highly acclaimed. Lozakovich has been a Warner Classics artist since . Born in Stockholm in , Lozakovich began play- ing the violin at age and made his solo debut two years later with Vladimir Spivakov. A er winning the top prize at the Spivakov In- ternational Violin Competition, he was named the Young Artist of the Year by Festival of Nations and received the Premio Batuta Award in Mexico.
