remains a somewhat tricky one. “ e transition can be challenging at times, but it’s much easier today because I know who I am,” says the father of four. “Years ago, I probably needed more time to come down from the adrenaline.” Coming down from the adrenaline o en means taking the time to enjoy the present. “A er the show, I try to enjoy the culture of each city I’m in,” says Martin. “I understand that in order for me to be a good performer, and a good father, I need to take care of myself rst, which includes meditation.” And sometimes, that peace comes from simply being surrounded by the people he loves the most. “I can’t wait to be in Chicago spending time with my family and friends,” he explains. “I’ve learned to keep my body and mind in check, and that’s what allows all parts of me to coexist beautifully.” Indeed, if there’s one thing Martin has learned over the years, it’s that peace is worth protecting. “Having peace in my life is a treasure,” says Martin, who is currently in the studio working on new music to be released in the fall. “It’s as simple as that. It means being able to wake up and live truthfully, surround- ed by love, health, and purpose. I’ve learned that success means very little if you don’t have peace within yourself.” And with that peace has come gratitude. “It’s understanding that I don’t need to prove anything anymore,” Martin concludes. “Creativity, family, health, music—that’s all I will ever need. “I still have dreams, and I still feel inspired. I want to continue creating, touring, acting, and challenging myself.
