With a track record of Platinum and Gold records, he has received numerous awards, including two Grammys, ve Latin Grammys (including Per- son of the Year), Premio Lo Nuestro, Bill- board Latin Music Awards, nine World Music Awards, and two American Music Awards. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Martin grew up in the spotlight from the age of , when he was a member of Menudo, and embarked on his own musical journey in with the release of his self-titled debut album. A er ’s follow-up, Me Amaras , Martin was rmly established as a superstar in the Spanish-speaking world. e subsequent success of iconic singles like ’s “María” and his World Cup anthem “La Copa de la Vida” paved the way for Martin’s his- toric performance at the Grammy Awards.
