Ravinia debut

PARK88

Based in Park City, UT, Park is the musical

marriage of award-winning, gritty-voiced pi-

ano player Rich Wyman and singer-songwrit-

er-storyteller Lisa Needham.

e duo has been

harmonizing musically and personally from

early in their relationship.

e couple married

and raised two sons while juggling individ-

ual creative pursuits. Needham founded the

Park City Divas and put her New York–trained

method acting (and Emerson College BFA) to

work, performing her acclaimed one-woman

show. Meanwhile, Wyman toured and recorded

as the frontman for various incarnations of the

Rich Wyman Band, yet the sultry backup vocals

on the majority of his albums belong to Need-

ham. Wyman has not only topped international

charts as a solo artist; he’s worked in the studio

with Eddie Van Halen and shared the stage with

such artists as Alanis Morissette and the Goo

Goo Dolls. Wyman met Van Halen in Park City,

and the pair soon began meeting instead at the

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s

Studio in Los

Angeles. Along with engineer Andy Johns (Led

Zeppelin, Rolling Stones), they spent several

years working together making music that was

featured on Wyman’s second album,

Fatherless

Child

. As the disc climbed the charts in Europe,

Wyman signed with a label in e Netherlands

and cra ed a new album that produced two

top- hits in the country. He has also toured

the United States, Ireland, England, Germany,

Switzerland, and Belgium, among other locales.

With their children now grown, the couple de-

cided to revisit the idea of bringing music and

their marriage together with Park , a nod to

their home and the number of keys on a piano—

the two elements that brought them happiness.

Park is making its Ravinia debut.
