CHRISTINE GOERKE
, recipient of the 2001
Richard Tucker Award, has appeared in the major opera
houses of the world, including the Metropolitan Opera,
Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Francisco Opera, Washington
National Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Seattle Opera,
Opera Company of Philadelphia, New York City Opera,
Glimmerglass Opera, Royal Opera House Covent Garden,
Paris Opéra, Théâtre du Châtelet, Deutsche Oper Berlin,
La Scala, Maggio Musical Fiorentio, Teatro Real (Madrid),
and Saito Kinen Festival. She recently made her role
debut as Brünnhilde in concert performances of
Die Walküre
with the New
Zealand Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Goerke has also appeared with the New
York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland
Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra, New
World Symphony, Houston Symphony, Sydney Symphony and Orchestra of the
Age of Enlightenment. Her Telarc recordings with Robert Shaw and the Atlanta

Opera, and the full Ring Cycle at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Metropolitan Opera,
Canadian Opera Company and Houston Grand Opera.
American mezzo-soprano
JILL GROVE
attended the Music
Academy of the West, New England Conservatory and
Stephen F. Austin State University and was a member of the
Merola Program at San Francisco Opera and the Houston
Grand Opera Studio. Her many honors include the 2003
ARIA award, a 2001 Richard Tucker Foundation Career
Grant, a 1999 George London Foundation Career Grant, a
1997 Sullivan Foundation Career Grant, and a 1995 Richard
F. Gold Career Grant. Among Ms. Grove’s international
operatic engagements are Lyric Opera of Chicago (with
whom she made her role debut as Jezibaba in
Rusalka
during the 2013-2014
season), San Diego Opera, New Orleans Opera, Munich Staatsoper, San
Francisco Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Canadian Opera Company, Théâtre du
Châtelet (Paris), Welsh National Opera, and Teatro Carlo Felice (Genoa). At the
